Allen Wilcher - Board member

Leslie Berger - Board member
A California native born and raised in Los Angeles, Leslie graduated with a BS in Marketing from California State University of Long Beach. She ran a successful independent sales and marketing business for over 25 years before shifting gears to her passion of performing.

Since 2002, Leslie has been acting in a variety of television and film roles. In addition, she has been Chairing and leading the Women in Film Actor's Group producing, booking talent, organizing and hosting panel discussions featuring top Hollywood Directors, Writers, Producers and Actors. In addition to her life as a performer, Leslie has worked as talent executive for the webisode television documentary news series "Understanding Cancer."

Leslie gives thanks to Papa Berger her adorable 91-year-old Dad for all his support and encouragement. She also gives thanks to her Heavenly Father who is always in her corner and where all blessings come from.

Jarvis Emerson - Chairman
Management/Program Development/Fiscal Oversight

Manage budget, staff, programs and day to day operations of Neighborhood Community Center. Managed staff, budget and program operations of Pediatric Mobile Medical Clinic, School-Based Health Clinic, Family Planning/Teen Clinic, and Youth & Parent Community-Based prevention and intervention projects.

Managed staff and daily operations of major metropolitan church. Compiled and maintained weekly and monthly attendance and financial information. Assist with preparation of annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with filing and maintenance of corporate non-profit business licenses.

Senior Paralegal - Assist litigation attorneys with all aspects of discovery including computerized legal research, fact gathering and analysis, database management, document and discovery drafting, and court filings in state and federal courts. Assist with all phases of trial preparation including court hearing and trial attendance. Coordinate and assist with business and litigation paralegal training programs in multiple offices. Train and mentor junior paralegals, paralegal interns and document clerks. Supervise paralegals, paralegal interns, document clerks and clerical staff on case projects and trial teams. Assist with potential client presentations and request for proposal submissions.

Keith J. Gibbs - Executive Director
Keith Gibbs enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1978. Gibbs' first tour of duty was Okinawa, Japan. Upon leaving Okinawa he toured many locations around the globe. In the early 80’s Gibbs requested to become a Drill Instructor.  Training 90 men on a quarterly basis and being responsible for their total being was a tremendous task to be accomplished. Gibbs also spent several years as a Marine Corps Recruiter. Enlisting men and women from all walks of life, and from different levels of education, he was the number one recruiter for Los Angeles County in 1987. Gibbs retired after 22 years in the military with an Honorable Discharge, and has worked with youths since 1978. Gibbs also graduated with a Baccalaureate Degree in "Computer Information Technology". Gibbs went on to work for a number of top organizations including Lockheed Martin Information Technology Group, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and Deloitte & Touche.

Rhonda Graves - Board member
Management Analyst for the City of Pasadena - Department of Finance. She has been employed with the City for seventeen years. Outside her responsibilities in the Budget Division of the Department of Finance, she also serves as the Department Adopt a Family Community Outreach program (adopting Pasadena Unified School District families in need during the holiday season). She holds a bachelors' degree in Business Administration. Rhonda also volunteers her talents to United Christian Women and the Pasadena Panthers Football and Cheer program.

Sarina M. Hinson, Esq. - Board member
Sarina has been a civil litigator for the past five years representing Plaintiff's in all types of civil litigation including personal injury, employment, and business disputes. She is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles where she obtained a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Sociology. Sarina obtained her law degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. She is admitted to practice law in California, Arizona, and many United States District Courts across the country.

California State Bar - formerly Vice-President, Chair-Commission on the Future of the Legal Profession and the State Bar; Los Angeles County Bar Association - formerly President, immediate past chair and founding member of the Senior Lawyers' Division. Member - Boards of Directors - Maternal and Child Health Access and Children's Law Center.

Kobie Conner, Esq. - Board member

Dominique R. Young - Secretary

Dominique Young was a cadet airmen in Air Force JROTC. Tutored and mentored students at Northpark Elementary School. Studied foreign languages and intercultural communications in Switzerland. Currently working towards Master's degree in Humanities at California State University Dominguez Hills.

Sarges Community Base, Inc. is a non profit organization providing physical, academic and social programs that teach today's youth basic life skills that enable them to feel capable and successful in their lives. In addition, we offer adult programming to encourage and sustain the parents of the children in our youth programs.
